Sunday Bloody Sunday

Sunday afternoon, the sun is out and the bears are getting restless. We need something to do. Ok guys, who wants to see if Kate and her RB Bears wants to come out to play? As always a request to get my Bears away from the Internet is met with a stoney silence except for Erasmus and Etak who were well up for an afternoon in the sun.

Erasmus and Etak in the car ready for a day out

So the three of us get in the car and set off to go and pick up Kate, Harry, Amethyst (I spelt it right this time!!), Eirwen and Elijah (spelling?). When we get there we meet Amethyst’s boyfriend who she is going to marry when she gets older and he goes and asks his mum is it ok if he tags along.

Now Jack just has to be seen to be believed!! “Scouse Jack”, as we christened him, is one of those kids who is just funny every time he opens his mouth. The look on Kate’s face every time he called Harry; “Haz” just had to be seen to be believed. And when he started calling Amethyst; “ammerfist”, well that just set us all off. His cries of; “da crab’s eaten me cheese” had half of New Brighton in uproar but he capped it all off by telling Kate she was; “too fat to climb thru da window of da car”, after she locked herself out. I should have written down some of the lines Jack came out with because I can’t remember half of them but he is one funny kid is our “Scouse” Jack!

Scouse Jack

All in all the kids had a whale of a time fishing for crabs (whale, fishing…never mind) while Jack continued to entertain the crowds. Every now and then Amethyst comes out with these little one liners and today was no exception. As people began to notice us (I cant imagine why we should attract attention what with Scouse Jack and four bears sitting in New Brighton, but anyway) Amethyst turned round and said; “Oh no, were drawing the tourists now!”.

Later in the evening as the gang invaded the local Chinese Restaurant, Kate (a whole bottle of wine later) decided it was time that Servant Dave had a tattoo. Alas, most of the tattoo shops are closed at 10.30 at night and so a little alternative planning was called for…but just what would be a suitable tattoo for Servant Dave?

Welcome Etak

Today is another proud day in the history of the MEFFS as we welcome another Bear to the growing collection we have now saved from a life of neglect and cruelty. The latest Bear to arrive is called Etak and she has taken an instant liking to Erasmus which is a little worrying as he is the naughtiest of Bears!

Etak is a cute little girlie with big round eyes and she has got Erasmus jumping through hoops for her at the moment. Needless to say, Erasmus is enjoying every minute of it and at least it stops him playing with little girlie bears off the internet!

Welcome to your new home Etak!

An ACE Story

I have been rather alarmed at the way Kate has been looking after her Renault Bears lately and have even had a chat with the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Bears (RSPCB) about having them re-housed – preferrably with me. Just look at the way they are left dumped around Kate’s house!

Kate’s Bears left abandoned on the window ledge

Well today, I have some really good news. The two Renault Bears under Kate’s charge have been taken away from her by the RSPCB and handed over to the care of Amethyst Clarice Elson (ACE), who has promised to love the little guys.

Amethyst with her Bears

Amethyst has even come up with the first ever Renault Bear joke. Tonight after enjoying a meal round at the Elson household she asked Eirwen if she would like some dessert. According to Amethyst, Eirwen declined saying she was; “stuffed”!!!

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

If anyone has any other Bear jokes please pass them on…we did have a chuckle at that one! Thank you Amethyst.

Welcome Evan

It is my proud duty to welcome another Renault Bear to the ever-growing collection we have amassed here at the MEFFS Wildlife Reserve. Evan is not, as the name would imply, Welsh, but is named after his hero Van Morrison – who just happens to be Irish. Confused? I am sure you will be.

Evan arrived at the weekend and has quickly settled in to life in the MEFFS H.Q. where he is now happily playing on the internet with the other RB’s.

UPDATE: There is another Renault Bear on it’s way to us so if anyone out there can think of a name please pass it on – it is getting harder and harder to be original here!

Hello

Hello Everyone

My name is Ejay. I was named by Cydne because no one on the blog could think of a name for me. I arrived last week to live with my new friend Dave at his house and I have met alot of other Renault Bears here. We all have a great time living with Dave and he lets us play on the internet alot of the time which is really cool.

I was born in Skelmersdale in Liverpool but I was very young at the time so don’t really remember much about it. The house I lived in was very sad and I remember always being cold in the winter because we couldn’t afford to pay for much heating. I remember I was always afraid when I was young too. Everything used to scare me but I always had mum. I found this poem on the internet that reminds me of me being a little bear.

I remember many years ago when I was but a lad,
The house that we lived, it makes me very sad.
We had no running water, no furnace to keep us warm,
And I was really frightened whenever we had a storm.
For anyone to live this way it is so very wrong,
But my dad’s love for alcohol proved way too strong.
My mother did the best she could, she made our house a home,
By loving us and working her fingers to the bone.
Other peoples laundry sometimes she would do,
So she’d have extra money to buy her kids some food.
As time went by things got better, actually very good,
But I still have nightmares of carrying coal and chopping wood.
So I thank my mother for all that she has done,
I just wish I could’ve been a better, loving son
.

Thanks mum Love from Ejay xxx
