Last week we promised we would include our Friends more on the Blog. We said if any Friends had something that they would like posting then we would post it as long as we thought others would find it interesting. Sadie came up with what must be the most random thing we have ever consider posting but we have to confess that once she explained what it was we did all laugh.
You see, Sadie said that she has been following our Bears for so long now that when she looked down at her feet today, she noticed she was slowly turning into a Polar Bear…

Friends Days: An Invitation

Yesterday we featured Lianne’s day at the zoo over the Bank Holiday weekend and it appears we have caused a little consternation amongst the Bear Friends. Last night everyone wanted to know why he or she could not be featured on the Blog and the answer is you can. We started Friend Days back in January this year and only Jessikah sent anything in for us to feature.
Previously, we have featured articles on the Blog from Andrea, Linzi, Amie along with the one Jessikah sent in. If you would also like to be featured then just drop us a line. You can just send us photographs of what you have been up to or send us a story for us to feature. All we ask is that it is something that everyone else will find interesting or fun.
Do not worry if you think you cannot write like Shakespeare or take photographs like David Bailey just send it in and we will find a Bear to work his or her expertise to make it look good. Remember it does not have to be anything serious as here at the Bear Blog we love random and anything that is fun, fun, fun.
To get the ball rolling, if you would like to tell us or show us what you did over the Bank Holiday Weekend we will feature it tomorrow on the blog. So please no more complaints or accusations of favouritism, get off your bum and send us something for us to post tomorrow.
Just erm… make sure it is legal!

Jessikah is one of the longest serving Friends of the Bears and has been following us for quite some time now. She is studying at college on an Animal Management course and is hoping to one-day work at Chester Zoo. Just before Christmas, she was on a work placement at Reaseheath College where she was working with Ring-tailed Limas.

At first, we were quite jealous of Jessikah getting to play with the Limas until she told us that Rafeeki (he is the one at the front in the photograph) does have a habit of having a woopsie down your back while he sits on your shoulder!

Today I thought we would tell you about a new venture we are planning here at The Bear Blog and it includes you – our subscribers. From time to time, we have published articles on the blog from Andrea, Linzi and Amie. They have written pieces for us and so we thought we would open it up to everyone. Starting shortly, we are going to have Subscriber Days on the blog where we let you, our subscribers, publish an article or a picture; or anything you think will be funny or interesting. It does not have to be some great work of Shakespearean quality or a photograph that David Bailey would be proud of, but it does have to be Fun!
A while ago, our friend Sadie wrote “knobhead” on her friend Nicola’s head while they were drunk. Nicola was that drunk she knew nothing about the word on her forehead, which made it even funnier. Sadie took pictures of her friend and we published them on the blog, which was the first Nicola knew about it! It was fun and gave everyone a great laugh. This is an example of the kind of thing we are looking for.
Therefore, we want you to start thinking. If something has happened that you think is amusing, then send us a story about it. If you have a photograph of you or one of your friends you think will make others laugh, then send it to us with a few words explaining what it is. Do not worry if you cannot write, we can edit it for you and give everyone some enjoyment from your article.
Please do not send us anything you think will upset anyone; we are not doing this for that reason. We just thought this would be a great idea for some future posts that would keep everyone entertained.
Get your thinking caps on, get writing, get sending us your photographs and let’s see if we can have a laugh.
