Film Quiz #6
Mon 18th Feb 2008
Time for another Film Quiz and this time it really is an easy one. This film scared the Bears to death and they hardly slept last night! I dont know why I do it to myself?
In case you haven’t played this before, just look at the picture above and tell us which film the Bears are watching. Please don’t email me your answers, instead put them in the Comments Section.
Best of luck!
UPDATE: …and the winner is Laura Purple who was the first person to name the film as Shaun Of The Dead. Hard luck Linz better luck next time!
Razzi Update
Sun 17th Feb 2008
Razzi getting his strength back
Thanks to everyone for the nice comments and emails for Razzi, it really has cheered him up. He didn’t come to work with me today but instead he stayed in bed to rest and re-cooperate. The doctors have said he has to get some rest and take things easy for a day or two as he was quite badly shaken up by his little accident.
Razzi has said he wants to go back to work tomorrow though, because Zoe has her test and he doesn’t want to let her down, and that he wants to see Linzi on her next lesson. Although this is against Doctors Orders I suppose its ok even though he should really be grounded for taking his seatbelt off!
If you promise to behave little dude, then I guess we both head off to work tomorrow.
In The Wars

If there is one thing about Bears it is that they think they know better than anyone else, especially humans. If I have told Razzi to sit down and put his seatbelt on in the back of the car once I have told him a million times. Does he listen? No he doesn’t!
So today, when I thought he was in the back with his seatbelt on he was actually climbing up to look out of the window when we had to stop sharply for some lunatic who thought he owned the road.
Razzi went flying!!
We had to spend the afternoon in Casualty while they mended his arm and put a big plaster on a sore head. At least he is in one piece and we will all live to see another day.
Maybe next time he will do as he’s told and put his seatbelt on!!
History Of The Bears Part 4
Fri 15th Feb 2008
This concludes the four part story of how the Renault Bears slowly crept into our lives. If you missed the first three parts you can read them here (Part 1, Part 2, Part 3)
By the time Esme came to join the gang of Bears at my house their numbers were growing. They had taken over my computer room and it was getting harder and harder for me to actually get on a computer myself. They do tend to monopolise the Internet. And, If anyone ever wanted to use my spare computer chair then hard luck the Bears had beaten you to it.
Esme had had a pretty hard time of it, from what I could tell, but was looking happy and for the first time in her life was making friends with other Renault Bears. It meant the number of Bears rescued was now 9, if you include Eddie who was rescued by our friend Yummy.

Esme is pictured front centre.
Already the tenth Bear was getting ready to join us…
The MEFFS determination to save unwanted Renault Bears had now reached International proportions as the latest addition came all the way from Spain. Unwanted by his Spanish owners we stepped in to give Eduardo a new home with our ever growing colony of Renault Bears. He even had to learn English from all the other Bears as he settled in to his new home.
The move to England for him was made even more traumatic as he was transported in a plastic bag. He looked pretty shaken up on arrival but, as you can see below, was soon displaying his skills on the computer by filling in his own profile on Blogger.

Just when I began to think that it was time to stop taking on new Renault Bears two more arrived in the space of a week. This was Erasmus and Ebay. Both Bears settled in nicely with the gang but it was getting a little over-crowded in their enclosure (or is that on their chair). Erasmus straight away started to show his quiet charm that has proven to be such a wow with the ladies. He was originally from Holland while Ebay arrived with little history and so we decided to name him Ebay after the site we purchased him from.
We target all our efforts into keeping our bears happy, well fed and of course with an Internet connection they can utilise. After all the Renault Bear is renowned for its inquisitive nature.

The Bear’s enclosure is getting a little over-crowded
By this time our friend K8Monster had joined the crusade to save the endangered Renault Bear and rescued poor little Eirwen from a life of neglect in Wales. She arrived in a brown paper parcel, sadly as they all do, and we quickly realised she had hurt herself in transit. Kate quickly ran for the Teddy First Aid Box and we gave Eirwen the medical attention she required…in the form of one plaster on her injured shoulder.
Unfortunately, what with the stress of the journey in a brown bag and Kates driving, Eirwen soon needed a strong sweet drink to deal with the stress so we headed for McDogburgers for a quick pick-me-up.

The next Bear to arrive was a bit of an embarrassment. Up until this time I had managed to keep my Bear activities pretty much a secret from the neighbours. That was until I answered the door to the postman and wondered why he had a big beaming smile on his face…until I noticed the label on the box he was delivering…
The next Bear to join the ever-growing collection we had amassed at the MEFFS Wildlife Reserve was Evan. Evan is not, as the name would imply, Welsh, but is named after his hero Van Morrison – who just happens to be Irish. Confused? I am sure you will be.
He was quickly joined by Etak and she took an instant liking to Erasmus which was a little worrying as he had by now grown a reputation as the naughtiest of Bears! Evad arrived quickly following this and the Renault Bear collection was well out of control.
This four part history took place on our previous blog and is posted here for people who have started following the daily exploits of the Bears. The history of the Bears following these events can be found in older posts on this blog.
